Virginia Farm Bureau is a membership organization—which means you get special treatment. We enhance our members’ lives by making sure you have fresh and safe locally grown food for your table, as well as by providing insurance with personal attention and fast claims service.
The Virginia Farm Bureau Federation is an organization with more than 150,000 members. It is part of the American Farm Bureau Federation, which boasts more than 5.5 million members in the United States and Puerto Rico.
There are 88 county Farm Bureaus located throughout Virginia. County Farm Bureaus across the nation collectively form their respective state Farm Bureaus, and the state Farm Bureaus comprise the American Farm Bureau.
The organization works to support its members through legislative lobbying, leadership programs, commodity associations, rural health programs, products, insurance, marketing, and other services.
Farm Bureau is not a state agency. It is non-governmental, non-partisan, and voluntary. It is wholly controlled by its membership dues.
