Job Description

Job description:
• Provide administrative support to the Director of Human Resources in the areas of recruitment, retention, diversity, employee training/development and activitives
• Maintain human resources mailbox for resumes and inquiries
• Manage applicant tracking and rejection letters process
• Maintain careers section of internet
• Maintain human resources sections of intranet
• Help maintain job descriptions and recruiting campaigns
• Utilizing a variety of traditional and progressive recruitment sources
• Manage interview, recruiting and new hire materials
• Conduct applicant screening interviews
• Schedule and coordinate interviews
• Conduct reference checks
• Coordinate employee on-boarding process and training
• Coordinate intern program
• Assist with planning and coordination of recruiting activities and events
• Assist with coordination of specialized training programs and CLE sessions
• Assist with budget planning, payment and tracking of recruiting invoices
• Assist with firmwide sponsored activities (firm picnic, holiday party, etc.)
• Handle firmwide deposit for operating and trust accounts
• Serve as back up for HR Assistant, office services and switchboard duties
• Handle other human resources and/or administrative projects as needed

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
• Proven ability to strictly maintain the confidentiality of the department’s work
• College degree and/or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated administrative experience in a law firm, human resources or professional services enviornment
• Demonstrated recruiting and/or office management experience
• Proficient in MicroSoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher & Outlook)
• Strong problem solving skills
• Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills with careful attention to detail
• Willingness and ability to become familiar with firm structure, policies & practices
• Ability to work independently, display initiative, diplomacy, tact & judgement
• Strong communication skills; both oral and written
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Ability to project a positive and professional image
• Ability to work well under pressure and exude patience and high stress tolerance
